Hyphen / Underscore

    I already read SEOMoz. I don't like Sphinn too much. I am on another good Forum with a lot less rubbish than here. I could PM you the link if you want. I don't really want to post it because I don't want it to become like DP :)

    Yeah I already knew this and have also foud little to know difference but hey even a little is worth it, if your making new pages then you should use Hyphens but dont go to the bother of changing over as it makes such a little difference but yet the new URL's will mean you lose all the pages history and serps that they had before.

    Actually...that info is kinda old (3 years.)

    There's more updated news from Google that Matt Cutts discussed last year...and even it is a year old. I can't add the link, but if you go to news at cnet, here's the title of the article: "Underscores are now word separators, proclaims Google!" That's from World Camp 2007.

    I remember that happening - but no date was set - what I was alluding to in my post above.

    Seems like dashes are your best bet. Goolge seems to actaully search the underscore as stated. If you have had success using both like you say. My question is this when you search your site does google highlight the underscored words.
