Actually, the global warming thing relates directly to the formation of hurricanes because of the destruction of the antarctic ice shelves. They are what forced the cold further north since they spread out from the antarctic landmass. Previously, this has held hurricanes in check because they need oceanic heat for power -- the colder temperatures of the ice shelves were what kept the heat down and prevented hurricanes from forming.

But what do I know?

 

Excellent point, I would think it's up to the conspiracy nuts to prove otherwise before the need would be to prove it was nature that caused any natural event.
