This is just getting out of hand!

Wilma already set a record for the lowest pressure (millibars) on record for a hurricane in the Atlantic basin!

My friend in on his honeymoon in Belize which is right in the path!

Times like this I'm glad I live in a frozen waste land, not much of a chance of a hurricane hitting me :)

    My first thought is "Crap...!"

I work for the DoD so I will most likely be working this weekend.

But then I think about all the people that will need our help and can't say I really mind. Just glad I didn't pursue that job offer I had down there.

When I read Hurricane (Wilma Category 5) I could just see Fryman's picture with caption Oh No ...

Grocery stores in my area are still not fully stocked as a result of Rita. Not Again!

My nephew is just back from working 14 hour days in Gulfport.

ft myers area its heading too. that area got 2 of them last year. don't need another one now. Should weaken as it heads north though. Cooling fronts are coming through florida...hopefully will either steer it away or weaken it a little bit.

Anybody in the shutter business? All the boarding up for these storms has to get old. If I lived on coast would want some old timey shutters.

Guess I better go fill up my gas tank again before it hits and I have to pay an extra .50 per gallon. :)

*note (hurricane wilma domains already sold out!) damn natural disaster profit seekers.

Good observation, these are likely the same PR's that take the bogus donations every time disaster strikes. What is this world coming to .

I hope everything works out for your friend, Rob.

Wow, sorry about that, Mexico. We were planning to honeymoon there in January... glad we didn't book yet. Hurricanes suck. I have plenty of family still in the path.

OMG, why does it seem that mother nature is particularly pissed off this year? There has to be a bigger picture?

May our all mighty creator(s) have mercy!

Doesn't the government have the ability to cloud seed these hurricanes in order to weaken them somewhat? I've heard the technology has been in existence since the 1960s. I don't particularly understand why the earth has hurricanes, or any natural disasters for that matter.

Maybe it is a way for mother nature or the Earth to keep itself regulated.
