These past few days that I have been away from my computer because I went to party in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get back home due to Hurricane Sandy! Instead of just boozing my day away, I decided to take advantage of my free time and compile all of the photos from my area and put them on my website. I'd thought I'd share some of them with you guys. Here is all of the photos (some exclusive, most not) and videos
I do have follow up photos that are devastating. I didn't add anything that wasn't from my surrounding area. Check out the rest of Post Hurricane Sandy photos and videos
Scenes of American natural disasters like these always hurt me badly. Your country suffers from about every one of nature`s nasty habits, from earthquakes, tornado`s, massive floods to hurricanes etc. So much damage, total destruction with people losing their homes, being injured and even killed, with the attendant damage to industry, power supplies, water supplies - the trauma is endless. The thing which makes me mad, is that whilst America is frequently devastated by any one of these tragedies, nobody in the world gives a damn. America, other Western nations and the World bank, pour $Billions into foreign countries when they have a disaster and back it up with immediate aid of help, medical supplies and food etc. What do these countries do to help when America gets hit ? Bugger all, they could not give a pig shit. Some of these scumbag countries even welcome it and celebrate in the streets. Think about THAT America before you next dig in your generous and bottomless pockets to help others. Be more selective with your generosity.
I don't know about this particular disaster but New Zealand routinely sends firemen up to help with California's oh-so-frequent bush fires. Last year we had earthquake rescue teams from around the world helping in Christchurch after that massive earthquake. These hard working individuals then got put on planes for Japan (which for some of them was "home") when the earthquake/tsunami combo hit. I suspect there may be more going on than you realise.
