"Oh Romeo, Romeo, where the hell are you my Romeo?" (paraphrased). Arguably the most quoted (and misquoted) line in the history of romantic literature. And for good reason too! You see, dear Mr Will Shakespeare was pointing out a very important and often overlooked fact about falling in love. Specifically, that it sure ain't no cakewalk! The agonies of ardor, the suffering of sleepless nights and tumultuous emotions. This crazy little thing called "Love". And more pointedly, falling into it. Did you notice how I used the word "into" in regards to love? Because this is exactly what happens. One falls into a rather dark and chaotic event like it were some sort of enveloping, glutinous substance. You get sucked in and suffocated by this most trying of emotional roller-coaster ride-like gluepots! Yesiree, stated by a true expert of the arena of romancing. You may call me Mr Cupid, a willing guide and mentor in this most savage of human experiences. But don't despair my precious blossoms, Love has many a joy to it. Magical sunsets and the sweetest smelling red roses ... divorce lawyers and mortgage payments. Well nothing's perfect after-all! Some like it to a ten round boxing match that goes the distance, and the more 'elevated' thinkers compare it to a rose ... "My love is like a red, red rose." Asleep beneath the winter snows? (my line). Watch those thorns! Love, love and love some more. And enjoy the experience, you deserve it! As one famous chanteuse put it, "I walked under a bus, got hit by a train .... and it hurt so good, I want to do it again!" Ah, the joys of love! D.
