Human Spiders?

Was reading in a magazine about 'human web spiders'.

Basically, these are spiders that look at sites like a human being:

'clicking on links and even running flash files.'

Apparently the technology can be used to fight click fraud and to monitor competitors without being detected.

How much of an effect do you guys think this will have on SEO?

We are used to looking at sites from a spiders perspective, this might change everything completely!

    or it might never happen.

    So...... Discuss!

Well if youve been making your sites for spiders rather than humans than you either have rubbish sites or do black hat seo :)

I think it will have no effect whatsoever, your sites should be for humans anyway.

Completely agree, but does that mean that you do no SEO whatsoever?

Of course I do :) But SEO is only good for getting traffic, when you want income you actually need a decent site...
So, you need your site to be user friendly and "good".

It seems like they can be used more to do click fraud than to fight it
