I need help clarifying if a hit on a web page is a human click or a search engine hit. Like, did a human really click the search result or did Google generate a hit... Say you are using a counter with statistics on your website, like StatCounter, W3Counter or even Analytics. You're looking at Statistics -> Latest Referrers and the usual 1-time-only hits from search engines. Are these hits coming from actual humans clicking only one time on the search result or is it simply a hit generated by Google during a search? Tough to explain, I hope you get the point. Thanks.
Yes, that's for sure that its human hits. If you want to see what bots hits your site then create an account in feed burner, it will show you a stats of your hits from human and bots.
Well, as you know, human.. I use awstats as well as analytics, and awstats counts spiders seperatly, so it tells me how often spiders are on my sites.
