Human Geno Mapped in 2003 - This leads to Denial or Acceptance?

Human Geno was fully mapped din the year 2003. The human genome is the genome of Homo sapiens, which is stored on 23 chromosome pairs. 22 of these are autosomal chromosome pairs, while the remaining pair is sex-determining.

Funny Definition of Homo Sapiens:: Humans, known taxonomically as Homo sapiens[3][4] (Latin for "wise man" or "knowing man"),[5] are the only living species in the Homo genus of bipedal primates in Hominidae, the great ape family. Anatomically modern-appearing humans originated in Africa about 200,000 years ago, reaching full behavioral modernity around 50,000 years ago.[6]

This told us over the next few years that we have 99.8% of the same genes as a chimpanzee and a monkey 99.5%. We almost have the same birth rates a chimpanzee based on females. We are basically defenseless as baby's in the mammal family. Lions and antelope etc come out of the womb ready to survive alot faster. This is because our brains take a good portion of time grow larger then other animals. Once we hit adulthood we are smarter then any other animal on the plant!

YOUR THOUGHTS - Does this lead to Denial or Acceptance?

    Your kidding me!!!

The ninth annual Human Obesity Gene Map identifies more than 300 genes and regions of human chromosomes linked to obesity in humans. The map includes some 70 specific gene variants thought to cause a person to become obese.

Denial or acceptance of what ? It's gonna take a lot more years before we know how to use that map . We still have a loooooong way to go . And we've yet to map the proteome .

    Ape
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For other uses, see Ape (disambiguation).
    Apes[1]
Fossil range: Late Oligocene - Recent

Under the current classification system there are two families of hominoids:
the family Hylobatidae consists of 4 genera and 14 species of gibbon, including the Lar Gibbon and the Siamang, collectively known as the lesser apes.
the family Hominidae consisting of chimpanzees, gorillas, humans and orangutans[1][2] collectively known as the great apes.

Chimps share many traits that we consider to be uniquely human, but now a new study suggests that the menopause really does set humans apart from other apes.

A detailed look at long-term fertility data from six populations of chimpanzees, compared with similar data from populations of hunter-gatherer humans, shows that both chimp and human birth rates have similar patterns of reproductive decline after the age of 40.

But where chimp survival drops along with fertility, humans stop reproducing and continue to live for a long time. Some chimps in their 40s are in fact better at reproducing than humans at that age. And contrary to the general case in humans, in chimps old females are preferred by males.

Or if we are created ? What makes you sure that we aren't ? Big bang = Let there be light . We can't understand this universe , nor God . We would be fools to belive that one option rules out the other .

I never said I was denning god... Thats a whole other topic. I am just asking people if they have accepted or still in denial we are from apes. That is a huge religion hurdle to get over for the religions of the world. The universe is made up of the earth just different levels of the mineral/gas strength.

As far as I am aware we are not from apes. We shared a common ancestor at some point then broke away from that. When we departed from that gene, that one went that way and ours went another. Theirs eventually turned into apes and our breakaway gene turned into people. At no point did we ever come from apes.

We are descended from apes, and we are apes. We share a common ancestor with modern apes, and that ancestor was an ape. You don't need a genome to see this, just look at chimpanzees. The taxonomical differences between them and us are negligible.

As Richard Dawkins says : "We are working on it" :) :D

I feel sorry for those who ignore what is simple (religion) and go with unexplainable fairy tales (evolution).

You mean the fairy tail of how E. coli evolves to become resistant to antibiotics? Most creationists call it micro evolution and that's how they come to painfully accept it, it was the only thing that stoped them from smashing their faces a couple of times into a wall for being a dumbass.
