I guess he has a PR4 with 5000+ pages indexed. I hit the cap with one of my sites and got a base weight of 54,000. I presume they now have 48,600 once you took some refferal weight, lol.

Is there really a cap? Some people say there is, some tah there isn't. I remember Shawn saying he removed the cap.

THere's still a cap. Before this backlink update, I was still at it for a PR6 site: 80,999.

Yep, cap is still there - my PR4 page is also exactly weight 54,000. Not likely to be by chance...

I wish I was at 54,000. Anyone know the cap for a PR5 website? I have a referral that is 5400 too....

I lost a couple of good ones too though... they gave it a try for like 2 days or something and then left.

I don't know..... I have bombed for two ways that I tried thus far. I only received a couple of referrals. 1. was other forums.... you always have someone in there that compares it to a link farm and then nobody wants to touch it even though you are showing them high results in a short amount of time.

    2. People requesting link exchanges from me. I write them back and tell them about the network. That seems to work for a couple of people however a lot of them cannot seem to get the coop running on their websites.... one of them wrote into the forum but nobody answered her.

    New ways I am attempting:
    - Google Adwords Campaign
    - I set up a special advertising block on our website with the coop ads in it offering advertising throughout our website. We get so many link exchange requests I am hoping to convert some of them into referrals.

    Yes, you're missing something obvious...

Read the setup instructions page and you will find out.

I don't see it as spam. All that's being done is that you're responding to their spam with a better offer than what they are looking for.

I receive around 50-100 link exchange requests per day.
Our website is currently undergoing a redesign so I inform people that we are not posting links to our website at this time however they can sign up at digitalpoint if they would like their link to be posted throughout our website and I give them a link.

I would not consider that spam.

These people are requesting information from me. I am not sending e-mails to people that are not requesting information from me or contacting me first.
