I am selling web2announcer.com, a web site that is one of a kind. What this site does is grabbing rss feeds from several web 2.0 web sites like digg, spurl, delicious, etc.

Visitors are able to see the top stories of all these sites easilly by visiting the home page, grabbing our RSS feed or by using our google module ( http://fusion.google.com/add?moduleurl=http://web2announcer.com/gm/socializer.xml ).

Additionally the site has a tagging system which uses sub domains for tagging. For example if you want to read top stories about programming you just have to visit http://programming.web2announcer.com/ or http://programming.web2announcer.com/rss/ to get the feed of this tag.

The site also has a user module, where people can register and then bookmark their favorite stories. Also you can easilly set moderators, who are able to delete unwanted entries with one click.

Finally the site has a wordpress blog, a buzz page for each tag ( eg. http://web2announcer.com/buzz/ or http://programming.web2announcer.com/buzz/ ) and a word press plugin (check it here : http://web2announcer.com/blog/2006/09/22/web-20-announcer-plugin-for-wordpress/ ) which was in the top 3 wordpress plugins for more than 1 month.

The site is custom coded, and runs under php and mysql. I believe it is a very good idea, but as I am a very busy man, I don't want it to be wasted. That's why I am going to sell it, and even if I wont get the money that it deserves(only the development costs would be around $3000-$5000) I think it is a site that requires an owner who will get care of it.

Revenue Details:

I haven't really tried to monetize this site (except some adsense ads) because I believe you first need to get in the market and then monetize the site. My opinion is that the next owner should integrate paied ads(or affiliate/CPA programs) in the listings (both for the site, google module and RSS feeds), as this way you can send your ads even to the visitors that fetch our info without using the site (and there are many of them)

Traffic Details:

The site has about 500 visitors per day, not including the RSS aggrerators (750.000 requests last month from Rojo, and other 5.000 from google feedfetcher) , and the google module users (which are more than 300)

The provided statistics (see the screenshots) do not include google homepage views (as there are too many, I disabled this page from awstats to have a better view)

The site also has some decent traffic from search engines. It is alive for only 3 months, and it had 3500 search engine visitors only for October, while this month (only first 4 days) has allready 700 search engine visitors.
