I had never heard of Pligg, but I decided to spend some time hanging out on DigitalPoint to learn more SEO techniques for several projects.

One project is my husband's birding/nature photography site, which could probably be making him some money for gear. I'll go check out Pligg sites and see if that might be a good fit for this project.

Thanks much for the tip. And if anyone has experience promoting a site about standing in a field looking at birds all day, I'd love to hear it (As you can see, I'm not much of a birder, though I love photography).

the problem with pligg sites is that they get hacked all the time not serious hacks but redirects..

 

Yes you are right Pligg sites are a little weak on security and get a lot of spam and hacks... Usually this will not hurt your website itself.. I just wanted to make it clear that it is pretty safe to submit to pligg sites. The weakness usually becomes an issue for the Pligg site itself not your site.

 

I created a link on Gaddiposh, which I think is a Pligg site, but somehow the link vanished about a month later. Can other people delete your links on this kind of site?

 

I think that the site admin can delete links or have them purged if they get no "votes".....

Tip: There are a few pligg submission programs out there that will help you use this list more effectively.
