Huge increase in page impressions

    I've recently requested payment from Google and this morning I've noticed a huge number of page impressions in my account for today. Are the two connected do you think? I don't usually get any visitors at all so early in the morning. I've also had three clicks on ads.

    Those two seem pretty unrelated. The internet is random, too, unless you told people who hate you that you were going to request payment soon... :p

    What is "huge"? With only 3 clicks, it sounds as if "huge" might be 100 compared to something like 50. These kinds of daily variations for such relatively small numbers is very normal. Your site may have gotten a mention on some forum, which resulted in a temporary spike in traffic.

    A single article in the past got me 150 people extra browsing my forum at one time
