Huge drop in yahoo backlinks.

I just noticed that the KW Tracker is showing huge drops in backlinks on Yahoo. It looks most/high percentage of co-op backlinks were removed. Something is up.

 

I dropped about 15% of my backlinks.

 

I lost a good number of backlinks in Yahoo but am not involved in the co-op, so scratch that idea.

 

It seems Yahoo has changed the way they display links - not showing all backlinks - taken a clue from Google, I guess

 

I dropped about 30% of my Yahoo backlinks and all my Yahoo keyword positioins have dropped as well.

Do you think this means that yahoo uses some of Googles data?

 

my site dropped too... now i dont have to worry.. m not the only one..

 

heh I was going to post this. I've had a fair old drop in BL's as well, around 2,000 gone

This happened many weeks back and all the backlinks came back in a few days.. so wonder if it is the same blip or something else.

 

I remember this happening too but I don't think they came back all the way. Didn't yahoo state something to the effect that the drop in backlinks at that time was going to represent a "more accurate account" of backlinks?

Yahoo backlinks are back to normal and my yahoo rankings are back to normal. Just bracing myself for more changes

 

Just checked today and again I've lost another couple of thousand BL's from yahoo, is this just me or happening to others?

 

the same here, back and forth ranking results since last month. Some days my site would disappear for all my keywords, then come back for 2 o 3 of my keywords... It's been 3 days now that my site is not showing in the yahoo serps..
Anyone has come up with an answer for the yahoo crazy behavior??

I as well have lost a large number of backlinks on yahoo...
I am relieved to know it isn`t just my site.

 

this looks like something that was happening a few weeks ago.

It lasted for a week or so then went back to normal.

 

Yes, all my backlinks Google and Yahoo are all over the place as well as my SERPs. Yesterday I went top 10 for a bunch of keywords I've been trying to get top10 for ages only to see them fall out today

 

Yep, my yahoo backlinks have dropped and for some terms I've gone from the SERPs entirely. Bizarrely, my overall traffic is the same so I guess it's swings and roundabouts. (Adsense up too )
