I am having a blog http://www.softpoint.in Blog is about freeware. I started the blog just 3 months back. Until 13 march i was getting around 150 hits from google some of my posts were ranked very high. But after 13 march Keyword ranking dropped significantly I can't find any reason. My webmaster tools account shows that site is indexed regularly. I never done any thing wrong, But I am not been able to find any cause for the drop.
    Please help me

Well, several times I was not able to load the site at all! Finally it loaded...
So if search engines' crawlers was also not able to access it many times they are likely to drop your rankings temporarily.
Now while refreshing it it loads ok, but...around I tried 10 times, around 5 mins. ago and I couldn't.

Of course the reason might be different, that was just a suggestion...
For example many new sites rank unnaturally high just after indexed at first, then their rankings drop to a reasonable level...

well the page rank is updating, so probably you must have got lower page rank. It happened with me too. And recently there were changes in google search engine. I too have a site with traffic 2800 which was 3400 just 5 days before. And one site got higher Rankings. It was having 500visitors but now its like 900 people visiting it.

You're experiencing the Google sandbox effect. It happens to all new sites that I'm aware of, a early high ranking followed by a steep drop off. You gradually improve over time after that if you keep working on the site.

I'm seeing it myself on one of my sites, I know that I won't keep my high rankings for much longer.

Just keep plugging away building content and good links and it will improve.

    Thanks for your feedback.
Though I am not getting any crawling error like page not found or someting like that on my webmaster account. Still I shall check the site for any downtime.

the exact same thing happened to me except my blog was up the top for some of the search terms for over a year, I was regularly getting 150-200 people a day through my site, now I barely get 50

This all seemed to happen around the time google aquired feedburner, anyone else notice this?

I keep track of all changes I make to my site. There was a time recently when I made seemingly minor changes to my content and my ranking dropped like a stone. There are too many variables, and nobody really knows why. All I did what return things to the way they were and I returned to my original positioning.

Either a google dance or possibly sandbox effect, keeping getting links then you should be ok
