huge drop in no. of clicks

hi i recently bought an website here on dp which had an average of 5-6$ income from adsense but all of sudden my revenue dropped, due to drop in clicks how can i know what has done this, it happened after i sent money and transfered site to my server ?

 

There could be many reasons:

- is the site getting the same amount of traffic as it was previously?
- is the source of the traffic the same as previously?
- are you advertising the site in the same way as the previous owner?
- has the site's search engine ranking changed?
- was the site getting an average of $5-$6 income over a long period? If the site only had that much in earnings during one month, it might have just been a blip in the statistics.

And, of course, the site's statistics might have been "sweetened" by the previous owner - did you verify the site's traffic and the source of that traffic? and was the ad click through rate and earnings shown reasonable based on that?

 

Are you still updating the site on a daily basis ?

 

Contact the previous owner and ask them. They should be able to help you.

 

I think you should write a good post to keep the previous readers come back and to obtain new readers.

thanks for replies guys site is an image host its getting traffic as normal even after site was transferred to me ,for some 10 days i got that average income but all of sudden click rate dropped though no. of impressions remained same approx
