Ok, I'm perfectly aware that there will be some difference between Google's actual results and their API but I'm noticing a huge difference. My pages in url number is 295 in the keyword tracker. Doing the search on Google returns 103,000 pages. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&rls=GGLD%2CGGLD%3A2004-42%2CGGLD%3Aen&q=site%3Awww.rouseindahouse.com&btnG=Search Could anybody account for why this might be?
Try setting the number of results to 100 per page in Google and keep on clicking on next page. Then you will see that after almost 300 results (298) you will get: In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 298 already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included. This is because all other pages are considered too simular to be really counted by the API.
Looking fine for me, I've not gone that far but it's still showing up pages on the 46th page so 450 results in. The thing is that the site does actually have close to 100,000 pages with separate content, it being a forum, but the API simply isn't showing any of it.
Ahh, didn't expect Google to be that off the mark. It's just a bit of a problem because it means that I get a co-op ad network, which is way off the mark. Not your fault at all, just one of those annoying things in life. Thanks for the help
Even worse now for me. Showing exactly the same in normal Google search but I've got absolutely no pages at all in the API.
