    Hi There,

I am the Webmaster for http://www.beauty-learning.com/ have an issue
with Google.co.uk. I have optimised this site: http://www.beauty-learning.com
for intensive beauty training courses. It seems to come up at
    poistion 2 in google.com here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=intensive+beauty+training+courses
However it is position 75 in Google.co.uk here:
    http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&pwst=1&q=intensive+beauty+traini...

Can you let me know if there are any issues with this website??
Anything I can do to help it??

    Many thanks,
    Theresa

If you add your site to Google webmaster tools ( google.com/webmasters/tools ) then you can track things better.
Also you can point your site to be a country specific website. Then tracking would be easier I guess..

I think you should target keyword phrases little shorter and research more effective keywords and use them in your H1 tags/title tags and content.

its better to get rank in google.com than in google.co.uk, but if you want to focus to rank in google.co.uk you have to host your website in uk based hosting company in this way you will rank higher in here.

    @Theresa

I faced same problem before 1 year after that I've started to work in below steps.

I think,There is many factors will work in this case of Google.co.uk, I am using below techniques for G.co.uk.

    1) First if you are targeting .co.uk TLD So it will always better for G.co.uk or Leave it.

    2) also, you need to set Geography location in webmaster account and set UK, it will better help with other off page optimization work.

    3) Do link exchange campaign with some high ranking UK sites and get the more links with your targeted keywords From UK country.

    4) get the lists of UK claissifieds Directories and post your site with unique Adwords.

    5) get the lists of UK article directories and post some articles with your targeted keywords.

    6) submit your site in UK Directories

just try to focus in UK country sites for all the link Building, link Baiting etc.. so at least we can best try to get Most of UK IP addresses back links and wait for better updations of Google.

    Thanks
    John

I think the simple answer is to create a near mirror for your UK site i.e. yoursite.co.uk..regards Allen

Yes - the GEO source of the backlinks is really important. I've outsourced a SEO job for directory sumission to India. Result: my google ranking now is number 6 in India. While Goggle.com gives me just 181 out of 164Mio.

Don't you know about geotargeting. google is now geo specific where google give preferences to any website based on its geographic location thats why you have site with extension co.uk, do promotion and search for that in google.co.uk and similarly for extension .com, search it in .com..

As said above, Google is Geo-specific. Your situation is common.
