We have been hosting for some time at iQarus Linkup Amsterdam (http://linkup.nl)

For a pretty long time we have been customer here. We have tried to leave them, and our servers are now offline.
But we are not allowed to get our data back! They are keeping all data behind, including several Alexa rank (average) 100.000 and 1 alexa rank 70.000 site.

All our business information is being kept behind, and Linkup does not want to proceed on giving it to us.

We have allready started legal ways, but this will just take us too long!

I would seriously need some help from you guys, on how to proceed? What to do about this? The damage might run in the 100s of 1000s.

    Much regards,

If the servers are offline, you have no way to force the host to give the data back without hiring an attorney.

Obviously, you should always have a backup of data. What if the server had a failure without any backup?
