HUGE Change in CTR Without Any Change On My End...

    Hello all,

Just a quick question for you - here is what happened:

I have about 10 sites. I used a specific placement for my Adsense Ads for about 2 weeks and had about 5% CTR. I then slightly changed the placement and for 3 days in a row I noticed about 15%-20% CTR.

I know that such high CTR is not normal, but all my sites have very targeted visitors so it didn't surprise me - I was of course, very surprised by the big CHANGE only due to a minor placement adjustment.

    So... the question..

Today, my CTR is 0.3%.... I have never seen such CTR before on my sites and I didn't change anything. I've had the usual amount of impressions for today - the CTR was the only thing affected for some very weird reason!

Do you have ANY idea why? I haven't changed anything on my sites or as far as the Ads are concerned. My sites still get the same amount of traffic.

I know that 1 day is nothing to worry about, however, you have to agree that this is VERY weird.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

make sure you don't have anyone tryin to get your account banned by clicking on it a lot which increase the CTR %

    That's good advice. Thanks!

I got to admit that the though crossed my mind.. I've never heard of others talking about such high CTRs so I thought it could have been someone trying to "get me banned".. However, I had similar CTR on about 4/5 sites and it happened AS SOON AS I tweaked the placement.

Keep in mind that it's not any special placement or anything.. one of the most common ones - not misleading at all or anything like that.

Is there ANY way to check if there really is someone in specific making clicks on my sites? I would have to assume that there is not, because it's not only 1 site that we are talking about... it's more than a couple and almost all my traffic is organic.
