That's not in question. The accusation was that Huckabee pardoned him. He did not. Governors do have the authority to parole.

Here we are again, dismissing facts as a hit piece. As was highlighted, the DNA did not match.

Again, as was highlighted, the victim could not identify him in a line up.

This is actually the "hit piece." It was discredited here.

No, traitors are traitors. I don't agree with him on this issue, however, he's not seeking to dismantle America, nor is he seeking to release your friends. Waterboarding hasn't been used since 2003, it was only used in two instances (or was it three?), and Bush signed an ordering banning this for your buds. I suppose you could still cry for your buds, though!

If he were soft on terrorists, you and grim would probably be the first to vote for him.

You should let them. That's very kind of you. You should enjoy the fact that for all your hatred dished out towards America for the past year, you now have people that have joined together under the RP umbrella who are no longer man enough to call you on that hatred.

You are the epitome of a RP supporter, and I very much hope Americans see the kind of hatred you spew and know that you support RP. That's part of my prediction...that RP supporters will be the demise of RP.

Fortunately for me, you are not intelligent enough to see that every day, you help make my prediction a reality. Every day, you help keep RP at that 5% he keeps lingering at. For that, I thank you :)

I am for being soft on terrorists? Really now, that's news to me.

I'm for doing something that actually works, something that our intelligence officials even tell us is the way to win, something that does not create more terrorists for a never ending fight.

I don't lie and put words in other peoples mouths unlike some people.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I honestly thought rounding up and slaughtering every suspected terrorist we could find would work I'd be for it. I don't think breaking laws, and creating more terrorists however is an effective way of winning a war on terrorism. Our intelligence officials appear to have the same thoughts from everything I have read. But yeah 'logic' makes you soft on terrorism

As far as the 'truth squad' debunking anything.. Even fox calls the 'truth squad' something far from being the 'truth'

WOW what can I say...I think it would be fair to state that you truly are a "social dinosaur", who is so unaware of what is really happening around you. While you are in this forum distorting the truth, there is a revolution out here in the real world, and you are not part of it! Continue to spread hate and promote torture and call everybody that does not support our corrupt government 100% no questions asked a traitor, you are doing nothing but contributing to everything that America does not stand for.

Agreed, such hatred we spew. Wanting to bring the troops home so they don't come back with 1 arm. Wanting peace. An accountable government who follows laws. A government who doesn't trample on our liberties. Yes, all of that is violent radicalized hate speech, right Gtech?

"America sucks?" Seems to serve you well, day in and day out. What, like you'd actually create a thread positive about America after the last year+ of hatred, when you were not actually banned? Heh!

Yep, that's exactly it. As if you care about troops. You have all those things, you simply are not intelligent enough to know it. This is a common pattern among young angry white males with low IQs.

Unfortunately not. Just saying something is discredited, sweeping it under the carpet, is about par though. Apparently you haven't been keeping up on the forum as much as you claim.

It is good to know though, that in this particular case, you are not worried about the facts. Once again, Huckabee did not pardon Dumond, nor did he have the authority to parole.

Looking forward to the next revision of dishonesty. Remember, as a RP supporter, you won't be held accountable.

But you're now willing to own up to quoting an article that contained incorrect facts right? The DNA, Clinton's involvement etc.

Kinda strange that the parole board would vote 4-1 against, and then three months later after a Huckabee visit, where his own aide claims that the board tried to argue with Huckabee AGAINST clemency, they reversed their vote.

    Interesting.

All of the evidence points to Huckabee not being entirely honest about his record. But the attack style on his critics is one thing that has been consistent since 1996. I can see the attraction for you. Forget the facts, let's discredit the messenger.

If you recall, you posted the discredited "huffpo" piece. Still not sure what a liberal joining the republican party to vote for a libertarian would be, of all places, "huffpo" (the center of hatred for everything America). Oh, wait...nevermind, it makes sense now ;)

Huckabee was against a pardon. He made this very clear. He does not have the authority to parole.

If you are using discredited evidence, you might have a point. Sort of like that evidence of Ron Paul actually defending his virulent racist comments against blacks, when someone tries to sweep it under the rug.

As Huckabee recently said, he doesn't come without mistakes. Not that this was one of them, however, unlike Ron Paul, Huckabee actually has accomplishments with his record. He's actually led, he's actually been in charge of budgets, he's actually had to make the tough decisions. RP's toughest decision as a politician is whether to actually vote Yes or not. Go figure ;)

Did you read the letter that Huckabee wrote to Dumond in prison?

    Thanks for making my point.
Btw, ABC backs up the Huffington Post's interpretation, as they shared the investigation. Are you saying ABC is liberal media as well?

The only record I see is a so-called Conservative Governor who granted clemency more times than any other Governor that anyone can remember. A conservative who gave special scholastic privileges to illegal aliens at the expense of the tax payer, and a conservative who raised taxes so high, he not only wiped out the debt, he took in a massive surplus of the people's money.

If we're going to talk about Ron Paul's achievements, we'll have to start a new thread. He hasn't written books on how to raise children, but then he's not the Christian Dr. Phil candidate. His books are on mundane things like Foreign Policy, the Constitution and Economics.

I did. Did you read the information in the Sun article, or did you dismiss it? The DNA did not match. The person doing the match still stands by such.

Once again, Huckabee did not pardon him, nor did he want a pardon for him. He did no parole him, he does not have the authority.

It is I, that should be thanking you! Dishonesty is easy to counter when one uses facts.

Then they share in culpability for falsely representing what Huckabee's aid said. Is ABC liberal media? Without question. I find it interesting that those who have multiple faces, pretend to be conservative when defending their candidate, invoking Reagan and Goldwater, but when backed into a corner, resort back to their roots...a place like huffpo. Says a lot more than I ever could.

That's because you support ron paul. Should I really expect anything less than dishonesty? What you see is a Conservative Governor that used the death penalty more times during his tenure than all of the states surrounding him. What you see is, someone whose had to make the tough decisions, who has a record, who has actually done something more than voting "no." Someone who has led, someone has been in the trenches. Unfortunately, your candidate has no accomplishments. It would make sense then, that you would dishonestly attack Huckabee. Your candidate has never accomplished anything more than writing racist newsletters and blaming America first.

I disagree. RP has no accomplishments to speak of. He's never led, he's never accomplished anything, never passed any meaningful legislation, never had any meaningful responsibility.

Don't worry about that too much. When Ron Paul moves into the white house maybe you, Mia, Free Willie, Dick Cheney, Bush, Carl Rove, Wolfowitz, Rummy & Rice can all move in together into the big house and live happily thereafter.

I'm sure that one is of interest to you. Dr. Paul may have fought for benefits you have received, or for members of your family who may be eligible later.

One thing is sure, if a member of your family is due a medal for service, your Texas Congressman in District 14 is the guy to call.

    The comments are pretty interesting.

Sounds like a pretty distinguished career, considering somewhere in there, he had time to deliver 4,000 babies, put 3 children through medical school without student loans, work his own farm and serve 5 years in the Air Force as a Surgeon.
