Unless you are the sort of person who likes to click "Make $10000 in one week" ads on the web, you have an understanding that it takes plenty work on your part to build a decent earning blog. On the other hand, Hubpages get logged and ranked very well on Google in a very short period of time. Of course the major downside being revenue sharing but you could also argue the benefits of using Hubpages more than makes up for it. So my question is this, Unless you think you have the next lifehacker.com (does not happen overnight). Aren't you much better off building hubpages than blogs? If build your own blogs you'll have full control over them, but chances are you won't get all your blogs to rank well. I suppose one can argue for both method's advantage, but for penetrating most niche market, I think Hubpages is the way to go. I'd appreciate any input based on your experience or knowledge, thank you.
Uhhh, how about NO. For one thing, the moderators at hubpages are heavy handed and can shut your page down in a split second. That means that all of your hard work is GONE! I had one of my hubpages disabled because it had one too many links on it. Its better to be in control of your own site, so you can post what you want, when you want, and how much you want. As for hubpages ranking well, I rarely if ever see a hubspage show up in a generic google search. Most search results are blogs, forums and general websites. I built a couple of hubspages, and they almost never show up in targeted keyword searches, much less generic searches. If anything, I would much rather have my own blog, and then a hubspage linking to my blog.
I have tons of both...I prefer blogs/websites over hubpages or any other web 2.0 medium, but hubpages and the linke are great for backlinks, etc.
I have a blog and a hubpage. IMO, I'll still go with blogs. You have control on your content. Plus, I see blogs rank better. I have to agree that hubpages are good for backlinks and Squidoo for traffic.
hubpages are like squidoo, ezine and other web20s ! they are simply great for SERPs and backlinks. I would go for websites plus decent amount of hubpages ; both are worth it
i agree with kev . blog is better than hubpage. because in your blog you have all the rights . and so you can write everything
