I think Ezine is the best way to do it as you can see some good but small results fairly quick but you do have to keep your articles updated.
Quick question to all... I put up a Hub, got it approved, etc. Then noticed through backlinkwatch that the link was NO FOLLOW. Ezine is DO FOLLOW If so, why would anyone use HubPages for backlinks?
The links become do follow once you have a score of 75 or above. Your articles have to be decent size and useful to that score but again the links become do follow
AuthorScore (aka Hubber Score) and the individual hubs HubScore. The first needs to be over 75, and the second has to be over 40. If either dip under those thresholds the nofollow applies.
yes, hubpages do have high standards. in regards to having 3 links, it is actually 2 links now for new accounts/hubs but if you have an old and established account, then you can have 3, 4 or even more links. i think its fair to allow limited privilege to new accounts to cut down the abuse/spam. @OP, how long it takes to get approved on ezine depends on what kind of account you have. if you have basis account, it will be about a week. for platinum authors, its only 24028 hours. they don;t approve any articles over the weekend in my view, they are both useful resource
EzineArticles are very "difficult" with me, I've resubmitted the same article about three times and changed it to match their specifications each time. It also takes about 4-7 days for a review/resubmission. EzineArticles is a PR8 site though, it does very well in Google. If only I can get my articles submitted :/
I didnt have much trouble with ezine neither hub. Both are good interms of SERPS, backlinks and ranking
