My hubby started taking up entering video contests on YouTube. He works as a Video Production Coordinator, so I would have thought he'd have enough of this stuff at work. But he says that being able to be creative on his off time is a bit of a release. After seeing a couple of his works and seeing what kind of money that can be had, who am I to discourage him? He's done one for Heinz Ketchup (which has been all over the media lately), TLC (The Learning Channel) which he didn't get in on time, and the most recent is for the new Malibu Banana Rum, which is quite yummy by the way! So, of course being the supportive spouse that I am, I told him that I'd do what I can to get him some votes. The Malibu one is up for public vote right now and we'd greatly appreciate it if you went and cast your 'thumbs up'. Wrong category. There is nothing for a DP member to win directly from this thread. In reality, this is SPAM, not a contest.
"This would be the place for anything related to contests." That is the only rule posted on the forum board. This is contest related. Nothing says it has to be a DP contest. Everybody posts contests for whatever they are promoting. This is not SPAM, as I am not selling you anything. I'm asking you to click a couple buttons. No cost, no great inconvenience, no downloading, no hassles. If you don't want to, then by all means don't bother.

Thanks Maryn! We appreciate it. I think he was going more for "cute" rather than "funny" per se and he wanted to make it sort of interesting with the mixed media of both live action and virtual world using the virtual performance stage. He mentioned that they had so much extra footage that they probably could have created another entry, but didn't want the two to have to compete for votes. I know he'd love the feedback though. So, just out of curiositiy, what would you have done differently? Thanks again!
