I have accounts at both but wonering if anyone has suggestions for comparable content sites? Unfortunately squiddo no longer accepts articles for the industry that I make most of my sales from so I havn't used them in a while.

I don't know what "Industry" you're talking about...haha are you marketing something shady here? Own up.

I assume if Squidoo doesn't allow it, EzineArticles and Buzzle probably don't either. You could try going "lower down the rung" so to speak, with the article directories. The "lowest" one I'd consider messing with is GoArticles. You can read my review of GoArticles if you want my take. Honestly, it's not the most effective site.

If you get rejected by these sites, probably your best bet is to make one or more blog sites to post articles on. But again, if your area is shady, and if you're writing spammy stuff, you won't get very far registering a blog with wordpress.com (which can be a good way to get instant links and traffic, through intelligent use of tags).

Hi Cazort Thanks. I am promoting financial services mostly. Yeah I use go articles. I like them as well as a handfull of the top article directories and various other seo methods. I am looking for something comparable to Squidoo or Hub Pages. Right now I can only market this service at Hub Pages. So another Social content network to post some articles to would be great.

I suspect "the industry" which you mentioned is internet marketing product/services as my article was rejected by Squido DUE TO THE IM INDUSTRY.
My experience says Squido is useless and waste of time to me as I got no trafic.
Hubpage brings me quite traffic and I am happy with them.

You might try articlebase or ezine.

EzineArticles and Buzzle, in my opinion, are leaders among the article directories; I wouldn't waste your time with others until you've put a lot of effort into those two. I also wrote a review of EzineArticles and a review of Buzzle if you're interested in my take on them.

I more recently started using ArticlesBase. So far, its performance has been good; not as good as EzineArticles or Buzzle, but significantly better than GoArticles.

Squidoo is really a different beast. I have gotten some traffic from it but honestly, I mainly use it because it's more fun than the other sites and I think it gives me ideas about how to add more interactivity and structure to my own websites.

To me bukisa is the best online writing site or you can also try out factoidz which is quite popular among freelance writers .
