I read somewhere that Hubpages external link are nofollow unless you bring up the personal hub score to above 75. Does anybody have any first hand experience in working with hubs in order to increase the score?
My hubber score is 95. Basically all you have to do is write a few decent hubs and drive some traffic to them. Before I had a lot of traffic, I'd just have my friends refresh my hubs multiple times and leave them open over night. The reason I had them do this is because two factors in hubscore are traffic and visit length. The longer people stay on the website, the higher your hubscore is, which means your hubberscore will also increase. Now I'm getting a ton of traffic so it doesn't matter anyway, but that's what I did when I first started and it worked out pretty well.
Easily done, fill out your profile and add a nice picture to it. Write a few entertaining hubs that don't have any outgoing links, comment on other hubs, rate hubs ect. In short, behave like a real hubber. After your hubscore has risen you can publish more hubs that link back to your own websites, are geared to make money etc. Just put yourself in the shoes of the people that run Hubpages and ask yourself 'Would they consider me a real hubber or somebody that just uses them for a quick backlink?' Works for me every time, SY
Yes you are right that hubpages give no follow links if your hub score is less then 75. To increase hub score you just need to involve in every hub activity like hub forum, answers, comments, fan mails etc
don't waste your time with hubpages, it is fairly useless and stealing your content with no value whatsoever, no to mention, the payout is ridiculously low
Lol, a bit of a strong comment here! Nobody steals your content on Hubpages, you retain the copyright to it. And payout is as high or as low as the TOS of Adsense, Amazon, Ebay etc sets it, you get your share of impresssions (60/40 I think it is) and when somebody clicks your links you get the money. I am seeing no problem with that. Hubpages makes me quite a bit of $$$, so I am happy with them. SY
Getting a 75 score is usually pretty easy. Simply make about 10 Hubs and go from there, if you link out to 2-3 sites on average and create decent sized Hubs, getting your score up is fairly easy. Nice thing is that those links stay active forever.
