I bought a domain with namecheap and it came with free SSL or w/e for a year.... now if I link to my site using HTTP instead of HTTPS will that hurts me AT ALL? (I know if you link www.site.com and site.com without having them redirected right it will hurt you) is it the same for HTTPS?

Also say I rid of HTTPS would all my HTTPS links go to HTTP or would they just be "dead"?

This is a big concern for me encase I get rid of SSL and people link to me using HTTPS... dont want them to not work anymore.

Why would you want to have the main portion of your site as https? Doesn't make sense. Normally, you only want the secure section of your site to use the https. Such as payment page. Then you don't have to worry about anything.

if your site is found under both http and https, then it doesn't matter how you link to your site. however, after one year if you dont renew your SSL, then you will end up having http version. whichever form of url you use, be consistant and only use the same url format

Well when ever i goto my site using http it just redirects me to https

Well I dont want google to think my https://site.com is different than http://site.com... i know google considering www.site.com and site.com two different sites if you do not redirect them.
