    Hi,

I am talking about a site, for which have submitted XML Sitemaps to Google and other major search engines..

    The problem starts -
The site is very well indexed with Google.. all the pages that are HTTPS and some of the HTTP pages.. but I am thrown out of all other search engines.. MSN has not even indexed my Index page. Yahoo just indexed couple of pages..
This is because the site completely runs on HTTPS and it can be reached by HTTP as well.. May be people will think this as duplicate content.. but Google has no problems so far, but other engines have.

Now I am trying to convert all the HTTPS pages to HTTP.. because I want to get indexed on all other search engines as well..

    1) Will the site be de-indexed from Google if I submit a sitemap that contains only HTTP and no HTTPS links??

    2) What precautions should be taken in such cases, so that Google smootly change all HTTPS links to HTTP in its index ?

    3) Does this really make any sense to change from HTTPS to HTTP ?

    Thanks,

Ans: Google will not de-index all pages but it just de-index pages with https://. And if found htps:// pages links from somewhere than index pages with https://.

If you have apache server than it;s easy to redirect all https:// page to http://
You can get that code easily on net

It would be helpful. Coz google count both https:// and http:// duplicate content.
