    Hey,
I have a problem on my server (i920+8Gb ram) when one chind process of apache takes huge memory, something like this:

    19309 apache 15 0 4170m 3.7g 6504 S 3.9 48.1 0:09.63 /usr/sbin/httpd

It appears in very short time (~1 min), process "eats" all RAM + swap and server going to down.

    So, the questions are:
    1. How to analyze why and where the problem is?

    2. How limit memory for each chind of httpd?

Or maybe any other ideas - are welcome.

    Thanks.

Check the Apache logs, and disable any unnecessary modules.
