    Hello there,
I am very new to using a local server.
I have ironed out a few bugs already but I'm stumped with this one...
I have searched the internet and these forum as much as I know how to.

    The error is...
httpd.exe: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 192.168.0.4 for ServerName

Orginially I used my website address but I think that was wrong so I un installed apache and started again and used the above number in the server name and domain name with my email address as the websmaster/admin.
When I went back to the httpd.conf file to make the configuration edits... the file hadn't change... it still had my previous edits I made before I reinstalled?

I do realise that this is probably really basic, so i really appreciate your help in advance.
    Cheers Karen

    Hi,

If you reinstall Apache on your machine then keep every configure settings.

Un install Apache from your machine, check for httpd.conf file and if exist then delete manually.
    After reinstall your apache program.

thanks Rudolf so much for that... I'll do that now.

When I reinstall what do i put under the

    Network Domain
    Server Name
    Administrator's Email Address

I think I'll only be using it as a local server to text my php script.
    Cheers Karen

    Hi Karen,

For the Network Domain and Server Name write in localhost. For email address you can give any email address. If you running skype on your machine first you need to disable port 80 usage in skype.
