I have a small VPS of mine hosted there, and my VPS provider uses them. Their network is good and fast. However, do a search on google. Most people will recommend you stay away from them.
They reckon that VRTservers is managed by 1 person, and support is terrible. From http://www.webhostingtalk.com/archive/index.php/t-337275.html: VRT servers shutdown my server a day early, and I lost all customer data. They refused to put it back up for even a day, so that I could back up data. They also take 24-72 hours MINIMUM to answer support requests, and usually the answers are inconclusive.
they are just stupid and Very bad Support. I think if you pay 20$ addition for a better Data center , you won !
Stay away from VRT. I had a server with them before many months, Their support is terrible, yes, vrt is managed by 1 man . Also, I paid for 100mbps port but they cheated me with 10mbps. I found this after some 10-20 days by checking it with ssh. Their support is not good. It will take around 1-2 days for a support ticket reply. Also, they took my server offline for more than 22 hours and I purchased a dedicated server from layeredtech on that same day. Their reply is just one or two sentences. They dont have a chat system, they dont have a ticketing system. Ya, they have phone number, but you will never get a live person if you call them. Its an automatic answering machine which will save your voice, but no reply from their side. Not recommended.
I had 2 dedicated servers prepaid quarterly. After one month they disconnected one server (which using good bandwith) showing fake spam issue which they have not explained and told ------- To turn on the server, we require: 1. the payment of reconnection fee $ 50 2. the server need to be reformatted. If you do not want to lose your data, you may purchase secondary HDD so you can transfer your data to the secondary hard drive. FYI : mounting the old hdd is not our responsibility ------ They have not given chance to do ftp and download our updates files, mysql db. It was very tough time. Later we have left both servers after renting new servers in different dc, There were 2 months left in both servers value $1000+ but we have left to avoid no further downtime, trouble with fuc**ing vrtservers. STAY AWAY! i had a server for a month and it was horrible. terrible speeds, the support was a joke, and i had about 6 days of downtime during my month. DONT EVEN RENT FROM VRT
