Hello everyone, iam facing a problem i need to resolve pretty quick. I have the idea on how it works in mind, but dont know how to code it properbly or if its even possible. I have a toplist which checks via http referer if username and submited website match, else no username ( and vote ) is passed into the database. All that works fine, but iam having problems with iframe cheaters So is the following somehow possible to code? If (maybe) preg_match certain words (iframe would be the best bet i think ) on the site username = not stored So the main point is maybe, is it possible to use preg_match or similar or websites others then mine? I know there is this get meta tags, so i thought maybe this exist too. Would be so happy about every help. Thanks, Seb
Do you perform any kind of captcha verification, or session based tracking for the user? Since that way you can cut down on other sites doing submissions (course if its an iframe, its just like having another browser tab open).
Its using sessions, yes. Normal voting etc works just great. I just have this iframe problem that the site gets an vote on pageload. I sure can activate the gateway page to prevent that, but iam not sure if causes trouble with google, since the gateway would create double content somehow ( 2 different pages for the same url ), thats why i want to avoid using it. Guess i somehow need to check if the button / link is actually clicked.
