    Thanks for the post.

We have a small publishing company, Liberty Press. This is great news for us.

Google will make a packet out of this - I think a few things are being thrown around the board room at amazon over this (like chairs & stuff).

thats a pretty neat trick google, the big G, the largest library in the world!
Wonder if they're actually going to database it or outsource to someone else to library the info? Thats a lot of work...

I doubt theyd let us humble folk access entire publications free, since I guess theyll only retrieve one page at a time depending on what is searched for, like a bit of a teaser, theyd be redirecting to book sales for more revenue.

maybe google will be shacking up with amazon?

This idea is a win win situation on paper: Visitors got content, Google sells ad. Publisher sells book. In the end, it is really a flight of Amazon and Google. There will be less people buying books after they found what they need on google and clicked sites showing with adwrods. Publisher does not got paid either. In this case. Visitors and Google won and Amazon and Publishers lose.

Will you put adsense on some site where you sell infomation? It will kill your business.

GOOG is under huge presure to boost sales. Adsense and Adwords growth is very slow according to the data I collected.

For the past several months virually EVERYTHING that Google does Yahoo follows ( and sometimes MSN ) - now everything that MSN Publically promises/plans - Google beats them to it!

Would anyone care to wager that Yahoo! will NOW come out with it's own Desktop Search soon
    ... just counting the days...
