http:// OR https:// which is Better for SEO and why?

First read carefully my question after give me reply with good suggestion

My first signature website is certified domain name.

So I have one question if I use http:// domain in each submission or use https:// which is better for SEO so I can get fast result. This time I have same page with 2 links one is http:// and second is https:// both are same link URL and same page design different is only https:// and http://.

http:// inner pages have 0 PR but https:// inner all pages have 3 PR so I’m confused bcz if any person click on my item page so site will convert in https:// otherwise all inner pages not item page have http://

so my thing is if https:// is batter so I will change my site all pages in http:// to https://. Which is better for SEO ranking?

 

http is better because https is a secure transfer protocol - SSL etc for secure data transfers like online banking. Search engines find it harder to index https pages. Also, if you don't need SSL encryption, don't add it, it slows down the page.

 

Yeah, you would only want to use https:// on pages where secure data is transmitted so I don't even see why you'd want search engines to index such pages.

 

http:// is the better one

 

As the guys said HTTP is better, because HTTPS for secure data transfers.

 

HTTP URLs which begin with http:// and use port 80, HTTPS URLs begin with https:// and use port 443 by default, make sure you have 301 redirects from the http URLs to the https, robots.txt, sitemap.xml is only valid if placed within the same protocol as the site.

 

Google can crawl https just fine,
but i suggest you to do a 301 redirect to the http version...

 

this time my site already on http but my item page is not http if any person can click on item page so automatically page will change on https security base
