Well, personally I don't like splash pages....

I think that 3 clicks to get to the forum is too much.... and you see 3 styles also...

I also think there is too much stress on the webhosting feature and too little info for teens....

My idea would be to get to the point straight away, show the forum on the front page, with a nice template or change to a CMS of some sort.

That green is blinding! It has to go. You should never have such bright, blinding colors. You should have something that's comfortable for everyone. And I have my contrast and brightness down as it is so I can imagine how someone with their settings higher would feel.

I think you should center the main table on the page. Some kind of header image would be nice. Everything else is ok.

Like Gede said though, you can do without the splash page. I'd think you'd benefit from it's removal. ;)

I agree with Lady78. The green is really hurting the eyes. Also centerint the table sounds good, too.

I would suggest to have some borders around your forum layout. Right now it feels really weird to have everything pushed to the side; it feels intense. The template for the forum and your main site's theme don't match right now, maybe you want t more consistant style...? That might help.

i have taken into account everything mentioned above (i think i got everything), i also took the time to skin the forum to match the site (might have been bits ive missed [PLEASE REPORT ANY]) and now should look better over all.

I think the green still look too bright. Other than that everything is good, except being a bit boring. But images and stuff takes time, and so far the layout is good. I like the dotted lines. Maybe you could make them bigger?

I like the way you set up your first page now, it has a lot of potential.

But indeed the green, is WAY too green, its not pleasing at all.

Try something more neutral, with here and there a touch of color, maybe an icon

    Regarding your linking structure:

You make a good use of anchor text on your main page, but you need to creat a link on every forum page to your main page again, in the footer or elsewhere.

    Marketing:

If you link to a certain forum from the main page, and just the forum is shown, I think people will not stay focussed on the site, so you will need to make more options avialable, you can do that with the template, preferably the same sort of icons you maybe will using on your index page.

Did you do the SEO hack for phpBB? Google doesn't like session id's....

Design wise it would be the easiest to pick a nice template that is available for phpBB and take that design for your main page as well, throw in some original icon like graphics suitable for your audience, and of you go...

sorry but your neon green sucks.. Color combination is greatly important. How about try to hire a webdesigner or for cheap just buy a template.

    Cheers!
