If you can't get on the overture tool, google has a tool that you might find useful: adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. It won't give you exact numbers, but it will give you a good idea of what search terms are popular in google. Hope this helps!
and see thats' what most everybody (and me) want. numbers. it's a numbers game and those quantitative green bars don't help. low search volume can mean mean 500 or 5000. the best thing is to buy a niche finding tool. no more hints after that!
I recall reading that Yahoo isn't supporting the overture figures anymore. I managed to get onto it today and it's showing figures from searches a year ago. That's not much help especially if your search terms are seasonal as mine are. It's a shame because nothing else I've found gives that depth of information. I use adwords but it doesn't gives figures like Overture.
i managed to get a few shot on the overture today....however I still experienced the "page can't be display"......really sickening......... will Google buy into overture???
Some times it is on and most of the time it is down! Seems the admin itself made it like that because of the overwhelming response for this free tool?
I know this thread is about 10 days old. I to prefer http://inventory.overture.com/ . I usually get a timed out. And I just tried Overture and not getting the site. I always assume the server gets busy or what not. Sometimes I use the DP keyword tool as well as http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/search.html which is ok for temporary results.
Yes, overture is usually busy and only come up with results from January 2007 whenever successful to upload. I think google should provide something like overture.
It's all BS, this word searching crap, look at it good. Below is a search for beer which returned 2745 searches a day. Second on the list is beer pong which has 477 a day right. Now revise the search fro just beer pong andyou should still get 477 a day right? WRONG The search for just beer pong has no data a day if you type it in looking for it and if you were to click on the link under the beer search it should give the same results however it has no searches listed for the term beer pong. This is all BS Beer Search Example: Wordtracker Check out what else Wordtracker can do for you. beer2,745.0/day beer pong477.0/day beer belly451.0/day beer for my horses272.0/day beer song242.0/day Beer Pong Example: Typed Manually Wordtracker Check out what else Wordtracker can do for you. No data for phrase: beer pong So you tell me what makes it different?
Buying based on OVT is somewhat wrong. I've bought domains with 100OVT and have made me hundreds in a year. I've also bought domains with crazy amounts of OVT that have made me money, but not exactly what I expected. [Parked] It just gives you a rough idea. Shouldn't be the #1 thing you base your purchase on. Speaking OVT, just spent 10 minutes trying to get stats for a damn keyword!
Wordze offers free access now and then, you should take it up at that time if you dont want to spend 7 dollars to find out if its worth it for you.
