I've 2 Options. 1: http://blog.flowergiftsdelivery.com/ 2: http://www.flowergiftsdelivery.com/blog/ Which One Is Better Please Guide?
It really doesn't. "Blog" is not a keyword that is going to enhance the domain one way or the other. It doesn't matter where you put it. It all depends on how you optimize. You can get good results with either. One way is not any stronger than the other. Every little thing is not an SEO concern. What matters is how it affects your navigation and how you want it for your readers. They are the ones that you need links from. Please them first and Google will follow.
I like this one the best: 1: http://blog.flowergiftsdelivery.com/ the blog on the end looks kind of sloppy. However, I do agree with hmansfield about all that matters is getting the attention of the readers.
I have websites with both and I don't see any noticeable difference. The reason for me was just a personal choice of how I wanted the URL to display and how I have the MU function set up. Some are as folders and some as subs. I think average users remember a folder set up more than a sub set up. People are still used to typing www. thewebsite.com / something, over somthing.website.com. A lot of people still don't even know what subdomains are. If you aren't worried about that and plan on linking it from the home page anyway. It doesn't matter. If this were a premium, short domain like just "Flowers.com" then I think it may warrant some thought. Subdomains make the most since when the root is memorable.
I would agree that either does not matter. Hmasnsfield brought up MU (Multi-user) which would use the sub-domains predominantly, just like blogspot or wordpress does for their hosted blogs. I just wanted to point out that you can call that sub-domain or folder anything you really want. It does not have to be 'blog'. If the blog function is in regard to a special niche, then I would name it the same as the niche. For instance, if the blog is about stock trading, then name the folder/subdomain 'stock-trading'. There is some value in Url keywords, albeit small sometimes, but it is more user friendly.
I like http://blog.flowergiftsdelivery.com/ as I have seen most of famous website using this pattern.I agree with Dodger that using niche name instead of "blog".
