Age old debate - should a new site be developed using software like Dreamweaver or using a CMS like Drupal? Has this changed with the uptake of HTML5?
Developing with Dreamweaver would take a bit more time I think. Wordpress is for the win for me ... if you have a budget or skill, order/create a unique design and mount it on drupal/joomla/wp/whatever since you won't need to code many features ... if any at all ... But then again, it all depends on what kind of site you want.
It highly depend on kind of website you are going to make. However in modern trend, people don't prefer dreamwever type software rather want to use CMS like Drupal / wordpress.
Its complitly depend upon your need, what kind of site you want to make, CMA like wordpress, joomla drupal are use to make more comprehend sites while simple sites are still using dreamwever , if you require a fully functional site you really in need of some CMS.
It all depends on the person using the site. If the person running the site knows how to code then the site in Dreamweaver could be good. If you use a CMS like Wordpress, I will be quicker to change and update things such as posts etc.
Go the CMS route. They'll be times even as a coder that you may want to make a quick change and not have access to your IDE.
CMS does have lots of advantages - principally because creating new posts is easy. However, the draw back is that I don't have any development skills for any of the main CMS platforms - Wordpress, Joomla or Drupa. That means I'll have to pay a developer to create the site I'm wanting - especially as I want an HTML5 /CSS3 site. Still agonising.
You can use the text editor in Dreamweaver to develop a CMS site. You should NEVER allow Dreamweaver to create the code for your site.
It's not semantically correct, it isn't cross-browser-compatible, for the most part, it's bloated, since you didn't write it you probably won't understand it so you won't be able to maintain it ... About the only good thing about it is that you don't have to write it. Everything else is bad. It's like amputating your head to cure a headache. Your head will stop hurting, and that's a good thing - but it's the only good thing.
Simple Html5 site is used by durpal,Wordpress or Zoomla. also used to Dreamweaver. You must be should to know ,what do you want ? then you decided to which cms is used.
CMS is only going to get better. The technical problems have been resolved, and now, with each release, great new features are being introduced to Joomla, Drupal, and others. Some techies would say to wait for the next set of features, but CMS is ready now. Don’t wait for a certain feature, got to CMS.
It will be good if the website is designed with Dreamweaver software, and develop the website with Cms as drupal.
You have to gain and improve your development skills to using different CMS because it require little programming knowledge and give more performance in a short interval of time.
html 5 sites are really too good for present & future as it is more responsive for mobile devices. Well i suggest you to develop it on any familiar CMS rather than dreamweaver because it will be more easy & less time consuming for you. Any CMS you can use for this like wordpress, joomla or drupal..
What kind of website are you trying to launch? If it's a static website which won't be often updated I would go for self developed (ie. dreamweaver ...), if you plan to update your site or want easy customization, special features, it would be more easy to chose a cms, you will have lot free plugins you can integrate in your site. Some CMS I really appreciate because of easy installation and high level support community - Joomla, wordpress, concrete 5 I used concrete5 for some recent project, it's really great, it has lot of great features that's missing in other cms. Also if you plan to have someone else (with no technical knowledge) update your site, go for concrete 5, it's incredible powerful.
