Need HTML help. I am getting my website optimised and the individual told me that my web pages had lots of HTML errors. I fixed them all using W3 site for XHTML pages because that is what they are, created with Dreamweaver.

He says none of the problems have been fixed, so I checked using HTML online checker which found errors, like / which is not considered and error in XHTML.

Do I have to redo check of all pages with HTML checker or is the W3 validation good enough for search engines, Google in particular.

    Thanks

Is your page considered as HTML or XHTML based (What is your DTD?)?
The only validation "script" from W3C is W3C Markup Validation Service and it always check your website according to the DTD..
