    But that is not the only one there also some well known sites

    I learned from http://www.w3schools.com/ and PRACTICE. The best way in my opinion to learn HTML, or any other languages, is to practice. I would suggest downloading Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.4.5.html) and start writing simple code once you learn some basics.

    There are many ways to learn HTML but best way is to learn from Internet.
    w3schools.com and html.net are the best website to learn HTML. They have described all things descriptively and also used simple language so you can understand easily.

    I agree with the posts above, I used W3schools.com when I was 13 back in the day, using Tables, now everything is advanced and you can learn straight into divs. You can't go wrong on that site.
