I want to set up one new website, could anyone give me some suggetions

html pages or CMS, which one is better for google Adsense?

html pages might be easily to control and optimize, but it is difficult to update the content ..

I prefer HTML but as you say it's harder to maintain.

If you plan a site with less than about 100 pages I'd go for HTML, but if it's going to be a large site I'd probably use a CMS.

With HTML if you plan carefully in advance you can avoid a lot of the effort later if you use PHP includes for headers, footers, adspaces and so on.

I think if you have more than 10 pages, i would suggest to go with cms. If your using some coding, than it can be much easier as Rasputin suggested.

no problem but if you want or have plan to update website frequently then go for CMs..

Anyway you will need to update content regularly to stick your visitors and HTML will crash your mind so go up with CMS.

It doesn't make any difference. As far as you can optimize and get traffic from SE it doesn't matter if you do a custom HTML site or use a common CMS like WordPress or something like that. If you're new I would suggest you to use WordPress. It's powerful enough and extremely easy to handle at the same time. Its SEO is very good out of the box too.

thank you for your suggestions! it make me cry for html, coz probaly i have to test for ie6, ie7, firefox, opera and safari......maybe have to test widescreen as well..... it is not easy way, i hope that i could get more time to write the good content and do some seo. Wordpress is well but it can not generate static pages, i've tried the Wordpress on one site for a couple of days(subdomain for wordpress) , but still can not attract the google robots until today, could anyone introduce me some better cms or some software could generate the simple html pages?

HTML or CMS, both don't matter. The real thing which matters is the amount of traffic that you get.

I use it on both CMS and HTML based sites. I have not noticed a difference. Like others have said, I think it matters on the size of the site which one will be easier in the long run.
