HTML Page loading Bar

    Hey there,

    i was workin on a HTML page design... it contains 5 images (100KB in all) and some text.. i want the viewer to view the page in full, i.e., when the page is fully loaded.. so i was lookin to add the loading bar in html... no flash...

    so tht an loadin image is seen untill the page is fully loaded...

    I don't think this can be done using only HTML.

    probly wouldnt make that much sense anyway because it wouldnt last that long unless they were on dial up i geuss and yeh i dont think there is a way to do it with html but ill go look around.

    Edit: i did find this its not html its java script, doesnt look to difficult just cop paste and change images names.

    cant do it with just html, and as intrinzik said, no point.

    Or it can be done with a combination of php and js - I saw an example some time ago ( I can`t find it now :( ) and it was looking very nice. try some websites with js tutorials and I`m sure you will find what you`re looking for ...

    Try hotscripts.com. Before you do that though, make sure all your images are .gifs, crunch them to make sure they are small files. (also make sure that you actually "need" lots of images. (if you need a "loading" page.....you may have too many. Did you know that the average website visitor will leave a site within 6 seconds if the content is not loading fast enough? (I've left sites quicker) Good thing now is that a lot of people are on high speed connections. Hope this helps.
