i have a phpbb forum, and I used a search engine optimizer to change the pages to html for guests. Got more pages in search engines for me
I would guess that .html might have a slight edge (especially if it's xhtml compliant), but as long as the page is well coded, I don't think .html vs .php is going to make much of a difference either way. Use whatever works best for you in your situation.
I think html is more effective than php a little, the important is, as long as you keep your pages static one, you'll got great results. My site (in sig) has been 3 months old, has been indexed for 17,000 pages in Google. I tried to use html as much as possible.
well my site is going to be very simple and i don't need php except on one page. thanks for the feedback
I think i have to switch, phpnuke and it's modules just make me a bit crazy, too lots of work to do..
