I'm shopping around for a web designer to build a Lead Generation website for my commercial mortgage company, yes I know boring stuff. But before I decide which way to go I wanted to get your input.

Which platform is best suited for SEO, full HTML websites or sites built with a CMS such as drupal?

The first three pages will be my company propaganda but from page 4 on deeper I will use article submissions, paid links and keyword content written by paid copywriters. My keywords are competitive so I want to build this infrastructure right the first time.

Any good articles on the subject? Comments?

If you are looking for a small site, then go for HTML. Its Search Engine friendly. But if you want to create tons of pages, and need to update it regularly, then you need to go for CMS.

one cool thing about a cms like Joomla is it automatically creates PDFs of all the articles you write. I was experimenting with a site with Joomla and hadn't even promoted it at all yet and it had maybe 40 pages indexed in yahoo pretty quick.

Still though I think I prefer HTML and PHP
