Hi, everyone I'm looking to build a news website similar to the (Drudge-Report) with some minor additions (faint colors overlaid on solid white in the background that span the whole page vertically). I'd also be interested in the advertising aspect of the website to be similar. Anyone have an idea of how much it would cost or how easy it would be to build on my own and if so could you point me in the right direction? Thank you, Ethan H.
You want a site that looks like that? I doubt they even want a site that looks like that but they're too chicken shit to change it. There are lots of themes for the major CMS systems and I'm sure if you spend some time looking around you'll find one that works for you - or you can hire someone to create a theme for you.
Holy shit... I'm back in the early 90s. Or something. That is one UGLY site. (No, I've not visited Drugde Report before). There is way too little white-space, the text is all bunched up, and there is little to no indication of where one issue ends and the next begins. The images are miniscule, and the overall feel of the site is... crap. I would NOT recommend something that looks like that.
