HTML-How long can it go on

We are still studying HTML in college and have moved into CSS, but does website management get better and more interesting after this? We have scratched the surface of DW, and done some Image Hotspots, but I would like to be interested in the subject I am studying, instead of just churning out the work.

Study PHP as well in your own time. It's the only way (for me it was) to make web stuff interesting. HTML is just too limiting. Sticking to HTML is almost patronizing to the adventurous mind. If you feel your wants and needs exceed its possibilities, learn a scripting or real programming language besides it. And databases of course.

PHP + MYSQL would be my recommendation.

    CSS is great.

Once you actually get some interesting design concepts to work with, you'll love CSS (At least I do).

It's a real challenge sometimes, that actually requires you to use a brain.

Personally, I hate DW (Too much bloated output and not enough control over the elements).

    ^^ What he said.

PHP makes for really cool websites. Add some javascript effects and a flash intro and you can pass off as a huge corporate giant. :)

And learning php and sql is very simple, as has been my experience, there are some great tutorials out there.

for sql I reccomend sqlcourse and sqlcourse2.com

i think u can get adequate php beginner info @ w3schools

HTML more or less... it will always be there....
Whatever you are using to attract your visitors... either is a complexe PHP script with DB backend.... either is CSS.... either both.... there will always be some HTML involved... so stop complaining and learn it as well as you can.

I'm just sorry I didn't learn HTML while I was in coledge....

In highschool i learned Pascal... and in coledge C, C++

I never used any of the previous mentioned outside the school life...
