HTML Code for banner ad - Please Help Me

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this but i need to know how i get my URL onto a banner ad. I have just made a banner ad at a free site that i found on Google, i have the HTML code but how do i get my URL into it so that when people click on it, it takes them to my website. Please help me i am new at this.
