.htaccess tweakings

    Hello DP Members,
    I have a query regarding tweakings needed to be done in .htaccess file.
    I want not to redirect a web page on a certain web page.
    For example I do not want my web page www.syscomindia.com/index.html to redirect on www.syscomindia.com/pages/index.html .
    What are the changes needed to be done in .htaccess file..
