Hello I am newb at a lot of web publishing stuff and I am having a problem re-writing my .htaccess file for a mixed forum SEO mod. I also have Joomla installed but I am not using it currently.

Every time I try to enable the rewrite it just 404's all of the pages.
    Here is the file:

    # You may need to un-comment the following lines
    # Options +FollowSymlinks
    # To make sure that rewritten dir or file (/|.html) will not load dir.php in case it exist
    # Options -MultiViews
    # REMEBER YOU ONLY NEED TO STARD MOD REWRITE ONCE
    RewriteEngine On
    # REWRITE BASE
    RewriteBase /forum/
    # HERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO ADD THE WWW PREFIXE REDIRECTION

Towards the top I added the PHPBB3 SEO stuff and added more of the PHPBB stuff at the bottom. I am not worried about Joomla right now as I am working on the forums first

    Fixed!

It mostly had to do with rewrite enabled on Joomla AND PHPBB3 options, causing errors.

Thank you for your help! I wouldn't of looked at the joomla stuff if I didnt see you post about joomla!
