I'm trying to add a script and it requires >>> .HTACCESS Now I was told by hosting support to just add a .htaccess the same way you do a normal file and add script but it doesn't work and each time I get error so I removed it. Can anyone help? Also, with www.mysitex.com it has PR5 but with mysitex.com only w/out www it reads PR0 ... help needed here too. Please.

just upload a plain txt file and then rename it .htaccess some servers do not allow you to upload a .htaccess file because it sees the extention as being wrong so causes an error all extentions are .123 letters but htaccess is .12345678 letters
Thanks Samantha ... I hope I don't get any infractions on this one. btw, is that your last name pia?. it sounds Hawaiian.
Hi Buzz, If it's a linux server, it ALL needs to be in lower case ie : .htaccess not .HTACCESS if it's not all in lower case, it won't work.
