    .htaccess file is a system file of apache server . It's security file .
    It's helpful & useful for SEO because it's help you using 301 , 302 redirect , also it's help you using permanent link for URL ( friendly URL ).

    .htaccess is a file used by Mod Rewrite on Apache web servers. The file contains directives which tell the web server how to redirect and/or URL rewrite. Google Mod Rewrite.
